Using largely the same methods for over a century, Mesa de Los Santos is grown 100 percent ecologically on a 500 acre farm that has been in the same family for four generations. The coffee is carefully cultivated by protecting nature, its grown free of chemicals under natural shade using natural fertilizers and spring water in the high altitude of the Bucaramanga coffee region. Over and above being environmentally responsible, the farm also assures its workers are well cared for by paying substantially more than neighboring farms and providing health care, free housing, utilities, social security and safe conditions. The farm even funded the local school and has a church on site.
